Founding partner at Setter Investimentos, Felipe has worked in recent years as a director, CEO and CFO in several management projects, and had participated actively in mergers and acquisitions operations.

Felipe Camargo has had twelve years of experience in private equity working for Pátria Investimentos, having worked in the areas of acquisitions, monitoring and management of invested companies. Felipe acted as Chief Executive Officer of Casa Cor up to the sale of the company to Grupo Abril and Doria Associados. Felipe also worked as CFO of Editora Camelot and as a Board member of Editora Peixes.

He worked for the investment bank Oppenheimer & Co in its São Paulo office and was an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand.

Felipe has a bachelor´s degree in Business Administration with a major in finance from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado and holds a post-graduate degree in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas – SP.

Felipe joined Setter in 2010 and since the beginning, he has gained experience in M&A, business monitoring and management across various sectors: healthcare (health insurance, hospitals, oncology clinics, laboratories), audiovisual, agriculture, logistics, among others. He has participated in several mergers and acquisitions transactions and IPOs in addition to management projects. Felipe became a partner at Setter in early 2021. Previously, he worked for 1,5 years in the control and planning department at HSBC Bank.

He holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM).

Founding partner at Setter, Flávia has worked in several management projects as a director, CEO and CFO over the past ten years in addition to mergers and acquisitions operations.

Flávia had 7 years of experience in Private Equity at Pátria Investimentos in a variety of roles within the invested companies. She acted as the Chief Financial Officer of Diagnósticos da América (DASA), the largest diagnostics company in Latin America with over US$1,5 billion in market value. She participated actively in the acquisitions made by DASA, and was responsible for integrating the operations of acquired companies.

Flávia also acted as Vice-President of Finance and Operations at Fotoptica, Brazil´s biggest optical and photography company, and prepared it to be sold to the world´s second biggest optical retail group – Hal Investments.

She also worked as a Controller at Brazil´s biggest trading company, Cotia Trading, reporting directly to the company´s board.

Flávia has a bachelor´s degree in Business Administration with a major in finance from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado.

Flávio joined Setter in 2019 as a partner responsible for Setter Tech, a business unit focused on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of startups and new businesses. With over 20 years of experience in the financial and technology markets, he has held various leadership positions in multinational companies such as CIT and Cisco Systems.

He was an executive at Cisco Capital for 12 years (Cisco’s financial arm), serving as the main executive (General Manager) for Latin America for 9 years. He also held the position of Managing Director for Latin America at an American technology startup for 2 years.

Startup mentor, entrepreneurial profile, and deep knowledge of technology and innovation.

Flávio holds a degree in Business Administration from FAAP, an MBA in Finance from Insper, and a specialization in General Management from Harvard Business School (HBS).

He is a member of the HBS Club of Brazil and HBS Alumni Angels of Brazil.

Partner at Setter since 2010, Judith has worked in various management projects as a director, CEO and CFO over the past years well as participating actively in mergers and acquisitions operations.

Judith Varandas has over five years of experience in private equity working at Pátria Investimentos´ invested companies.

Judith worked as a Financial Planning Manager at DASA, Latin America´s biggest diagnostic medicine company, and actively participated in the process of fundraising $ 250 million dollars abroad through the emission of 10 year maturity debentures.

She also worked as a Financial Analyst at Fotoptica, the largest photography and optical retail chain in Brazil where she was responsible for monitoring and improving the company’s performance as well as preparing the company to be sold to the world’s second largest optical retail group – Hal Investments.

Judith holds a Master of Science from Università Bocconi (Milan – Italy) / ESADE (Barcelona – Spain) in International Management and a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas, in São Paulo (Brazil).

Having joined Setter in 2016, Roberta has over 15 years of experience in Private Equity. Before integrating the Setter team, she worked at Pátria Investimentos in screening and development of new investment thesis, as well as a manager for companies in Pátria´s financial and PMO investment portfolios. Previously, she worked in M&A at Anhanguera Educacional for two years and another two years at Medial Saúde.

Roberta holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo (Brazil) and was awarded a scholarship to attend the Global Competitive Leadership Program (GCLP) at Georgetown University, in Washington D.C.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bresco Investimentos S.A., a leading Brazilian real estate investment company specialized in corporate properties. Prior to Bresco, Mr. Betancourt was the founder and CEO of Bracor Investimentos Imobiliários, a partnership with Sam Zell’s Equity International Group, which became a company recognized in the marketplace as one of the most successful stories in the history of Brazilian real estate, with close to US$2B invested in institutional quality corporate properties. Mr. Betancourt has over 25 years of experience in the Brazilian real estate market. On a personal note, Mr. Betancourt is one of the founders of Brazil’s highly awarded social project: Meninos do Morumbi, which through the use of percussion instruments assists over 5000 teenagers from the shantytowns of São Paulo. He was also member of the International Board of YPO – Young Presidents Organization. Mr. Betancourt received a B.B.A. from Fundação Getulio Vargas, in São Paulo (Brazil), and an MBA from Pace University, New York.
Former Minister of Economy and Planning, former Brazilian Ambassador in Washington and former Country Advisor for Merrill Lynch in Brazil. During his career Mr. Moreira was also a member of several Boards of companies and organizations, including BRASILPAR, PREVER, Novotel, Club Mediterranée, IBM, Coca-Cola, R.J. Reynolds, Hoechst, General Electric, Textron, Embratel. In 1967/8, Mr. Moreira was the founder and the first president of the “Companhia de Desenvolvimento de Comunidades” in the Negrão Dr. Lima Guanabara state government. He is an active board member of the FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) administration board, Mitra Metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro, Valid, Energisa and Pró Criança. Mr. Moreira was President of the Commercial Association of Rio de Janeiro and President of the Public Ethics Commission of the Republic´s Presidency.
Partner and Portfolio Manager at Tarpon, an independent investment fund responsible for Tarpon GT FIA, a long-term value investing fund that has more than R$ 2.7 billion under management.

Rafael was a founding partner and Portfolio Manager of Mosaico Capital (current Angico Capital), an independent investment fund merged into Tarpon in 2016.

He had a first period at Tarpon, where he developed the Private Equity area and later worked in the company’s equity investment sector.

He also worked for seven years at Pátria Investimentos’ Private Equity team, where he held several executive positions in invested companies, for example CFO of Casa do Pão de Queijo.

He was a member of the Fiscal Council of Portobello and Sanepar. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Lojas Marisa, Arezzo&Co, Tempo Participações and Kepler Weber.

Hannan joined Setter in 2011, having previously worked in management projects in a wide variety of industries (healthcare, retail, industrial laundry, technology, fertilizers, and others), and also actively participating in M&A processes. Also previously, he worked as a financial analyst at Diagnóstico da América (DASA), the biggest health diagnostics company in Latin America.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in finance from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM) and has a post-graduate certificate in Controlling from FIA.

Pedro joined Setter in 2017 and has experience in M&A and management projects in different sectors: Sports Retail, industrial laundry and audiovisual production.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (USP)
